How does MangroveWatch work?

Land & Sea Rangers collect video footage and photos of mangroves and shorelines so that James Cook scientists can study the information. The local information provided by the Rangers will help understand:

  • Shoreline area and variety
  • Shoreline health
  • Shoreline environmental value
  • Problems and threats

Data will be presented back to the community and available on the MangroveWatch website.
